Keel laying ceremony for Polarcus vessel NB67

On the 20 October 2008 senior management of Polarcus attended the official keel laying ceremony for Polarcus vessel NB67, the second of six newbuilds being constructed at the Drydocks World – Dubai shipyard in the United Arab Emirates. The keel laying ceremony of Polarcus' first newbuild, vessel NB66, was previously held on the 14 September 2008.
"We are very pleased to be attending this, our second keel laying event at Drydocks World – Dubai" said Peter Zickerman, EVP Polarcus. "This is another major milestone in the construction of our fleet and I am very pleased that the work on these two vessels is progressing so well and most importantly, to schedule.
"The 89m long vessel, of Ulstein Design type SX124, is the second of four ultra-modern 12 streamer 3D vessels being built by Polarcus at Drydocks World – Dubai over the next two years. Vessel NB67 is scheduled to be operational in Q4 2009. The company is also building in the same period two multipurpose 6 streamer 3D/source vessels of Ulstein Design type SX133.
