Lawsuit filed by WesternGeco against Polarcus for patent infringement

Polarcus Limited (“Polarcus” or the “Company”) (OSE: PLCS) hereby announces that it has today been advised that WesternGeco L.L.C. (“WesternGeco”) on 15 August 2013 filed a lawsuit against Polarcus US Inc and Polarcus Limited by way of complaint for patent infringement in the Southern District of Texas, Houston.
The announced patent infringement relates to the same patents as are involved in the dispute between WesternGeco and ION Geophysical Corporation.
Polarcus has not yet received the official notification from the court of the Southern District of Texas.
Polarcus will review the complaint filed by WesternGeco with its lawyers and inform the market further in due course.
