Plate cutting ceremony of Polarcus vessel NB67

The directors and senior management of Polarcus on 8 June 2008 attended the official plate cutting ceremony of Polarcus vessel NB67 at the Drydocks World – Dubai shipyard in the United Arab Emirates. This formally commences the construction of the second 3D vessel in the Polarcus fleet. The plate cutting ceremony of vessel NB66 was held on 18 May 2008.
"This is another major milestone for our company", commented Rolf Ronningen, CEO Polarcus. "The project is gaining visible momentum every day now and we are confident in our ability to commence our first seismic operations on schedule later next year.
"Vessel NB67 is the second of four ultra-modern 12 streamer 3D vessels being built by Polarcus at Drydocks World – Dubai over the next two years. The company is also building in the same period two multipurpose 2D/3D/source vessels capable of towing up to 6 streamers.
